Microtrends

I picked up a copy yesterday of Microtrends: The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow’s Big Changes. I find it a riveting read. One thing I always said, ever since I came to this country:

Whatever you say about the United States, the opposite is also always true.

Now, Mark Penn shows how true that is. I will write more. I was fascinated by his first chapter. There are more heterosexual women than men. If there are twice as many gay men as lesbians and there are an equal number of men and women, this is a logical conclusion. So women who are not married are beat by the numbers. I am interested that Hillary Clinton’s pollster would choose this as his first chapter. Any thoughts?

Penn is vilified by some progressives. Read a thorough review here.
