Strategic planning is too slow. Times are changing too fast. Your organization will reassess its purpose all the time and you will need to communicate extremely well to keep everybody involved and engaged.

Mission statements are useless. Nobody knows them, nobody reads them. Mission statements should quickly tell people what you are about, but if nobody cares about them, they don’t work.
